Nazaré

The jewels of the west coast: Nazaré, a picturesque fishing village, also known for the biggest waves in the world for surf lovers, as it was here that on 11-1-2011, North American surfer Garrett McNamara successfully faced a giant wave measuring 23 meters and 77 centimeters—the biggest wave in the world at the time.

To this day, the actual record is 28,57 meters and belongs to the German surfer Sebastian Steudtner. Every single season we have daredevils from all around the world to break the record!

Óbidos

Known for its well-preserved historic charm, Óbidos is a labyrinth of cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, and colorful bougainvillea. Explore the impressive Óbidos Castle, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Wander through the narrow streets, visiting quaint shops, art galleries, and cafes. Don’t miss the chance to taste the famous Ginja de Óbidos, a sweet cherry liqueur served in chocolate cups.

Lisboa

We begin our journey in Alfama, one of Lisbon’s oldest and most traditional neighborhoods. As you wander through its narrow alleys, you’ll feel the pulse of local life and hear the haunting sound of Fado echoing from nearby taverns. Then, we head up to Graça, perched on the city’s highest hill. From the Senhora do Monte viewpoint, enjoy a breathtaking panorama over Lisbon’s rooftops and the Tagus River. While there, don’t miss the National Pantheon and, if the timing is right, Europe’s oldest flea market.

Next, we continue to the iconic St. George Castle and its historic surroundings. You’ll pass by the Lisbon Cathedral and the charming Santo António Church, a favorite among locals. As we descend into the downtown area, elegant streets like Rua Augusta and majestic squares such as Praça do Comércio unfold before you. We also explore the vibrant Chiado and Bairro Alto, two neighborhoods full of charm, culture, and Lisbon’s unique energy.

We continue along Liberdade Avenue, known for its grand architecture and luxury boutiques. Passing the Estrela Basilica and its serene gardens, we cross the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge to admire Lisbon from the opposite bank — right at the feet of the towering Cristo Rei monument.

Finally, we arrive in Belém, the ideal spot to close your Lisbon experience. Here, you can enjoy a traditional Pastel de Belém and explore the wonders of the Age of Discoveries: the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, the Belém Tower, and the Monument to the Discoveries, all nestled along the peaceful riverside.

Emilio, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. As a surfer himself, he provided so much insight into the natural history of Naraze. I would have given 5 stars except that we had very limited time at Obidos. That may have been because there was a festival occurring and there were lots of locals there as well as the fortress was absolutely packed.

Sensational the guide!!!!! Had patience in the direction and provided us with a walk with a lot of safety and tranquility. The guide Madalena Marques is spectacular. It gave us a wonderful day.
