Tomar

We head towards Tomar to visit the Castle and Convent of Christ. Tomar is part of a grand offer of our first king to the Templar Knights, as a token of gratitude for their aid in the conquest of Moorish lands, and here not only they founded the city but built this intricate complex that served as a sanctuary for the Templars and also for the Order of Christ that followed them. Mixing several styles, from gothic to Manueline, and holding secrets and mysteries like the main altar of the church, the Charola, it’s an attraction that you cannot miss!

Sintra

As we want to present you with a real Portugal, we will go through local and non-tourist paths towards the village of Sintra, a picturesque village with beautiful cobbled streets full of shops and traditional cafés, where you can choose some of its wonderful historical monuments to visit, such as the National Palace, Pena Palace, Moorish Castle, Quinta da Regaleira, Seteais, and Monserrate Palaces. The village itself is really worth visiting so that you can feel why Sintra has been considered a World Heritage Site by Unesco since 1995.

Return to Lisbon

Filled with memories and good times, we will return to Lisbon, where we will drop you off at the place where you were installed.

How to book?

To reserve the tour, complete the form on this page or you call us/Whatsapp us.

You will receive your confirmation as soon as possible.

All activities will take place throughout the year even if it rains.

Sintra, for example, has a microclimate, which in a way makes this place so magical and unique, but sometimes it can really make the visit sad by limiting visibility and the experience a bit, but that’s something that’s not in our control.

Yes, we do pick up and drop off our clients at their hotels in Lisbon’s center.

Make sure that you write the correct address of your hotel or accommodation from where we should pick you up.

Yes, we accept solo travelers.

For our group tours, pick-up takes place between 08:30 and 09:00.


For private tours, we recommend the same time slot, although pick-up can be arranged at a different time upon request.

First of all, Kate was a wonderful tour guide. Secondly, the Templar sires we visited were fascinating and beautiful. It was an altogether first rate experience. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in history.

Amazing tour, Kate was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We visited all the sites that we wanted to, and even had lunch in a beautiful little sandwich shop in Tomar. These Yellow Cab private tours seem more expensive, but it was worth every penny as they stepped in last minute when our group tour operator cancelled last minute. I can’t recommend them enough and would only do private tours in the future. Outstanding!!

This is our second tour with this company. Our first tour was 4 years ago so I think it says something that we came back for a second tour. This time it was me, my husband, and his dad (there wasn't an option for "family" of adults so I guess "couple" +1?) Once again, we did a private tour and again, I think it was the best decision for us. We like having the little bit of wiggle room in terms of pace of sites and not having to wait on anyone else or have anyone else wait on us. We had a wonderful day with Jorge! My husband and his dad enjoyed all the extensive history information and chatting. The sites are beautiful and we had a delicious lunch and even got to pop in a couple of shops along the way around town. My FIL has bad knees and Jorge was sure to check in to make sure everyone was doing okay with the pace we were going at. I highly recommend this tour for the castle and history lovers and having Jorge as your guide!

We had amazing weather so Jorge was able to show us beautiful sights, tell us the history and answer all of our questions regarding the Knights Templar in Tomar. Jorge also shared a side street secret at lunch time of Peri Peri chicken. It was amazing and we shared a lot of conversation. This tour was a highlight of our trip.
