Along the Portuguese Coast

With the Tejo River as our starting point, we drive along the scenic Estoril Coast, also known as the Portuguese Riviera. Our first stop is in the charming town of Cascais. Take time to walk through its elegant streets, relax by the bay, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of this former fishing village.

From Guincho to Peninha

Next, we continue past Guincho Beach, famous among surfers, and head towards Malveira da Serra. From here, we enter the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park and begin our ascent to Peninha. At this viewpoint, you’ll enjoy one of the most impressive panoramic views over Sintra and the Atlantic Ocean.

At the Edge of Europe: Cabo da Roca

After this, we travel to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. This cliffside stop offers dramatic ocean views and is perfect for memorable photos.

Secret Spots

We then drive along the hidden backroads of Ulgueira, with a quick stop at Buraco do Fojo for another spectacular wild ocean view. Our journey continues to the breathtaking Adraga Beach, one of the area’s most beautiful and less crowded spots.

Cliffside Villages

In Almoçageme, we explore more of Sintra’s coastal charm. You’ll pass by Praia Grande and Praia das Maçãs, and then stop at Azenhas do Mar. This cliffside village is famous for its white houses perched above the ocean, golden sands, and clear waters—making it a perfect photo opportunity.

For lunch or a snack, take time to enjoy the region’s incredible gastronomy. Whether it’s fresh fish, seafood, or traditional Portuguese dishes, this area offers something delicious for everyone.

All activities will take place throughout the year even if it rains.

Sintra, for example, has a microclimate, which in a way makes this place so magical and unique, but sometimes it can really make the visit sad by limiting visibility and the experience a bit, but that’s something that’s not in our control.

Pedro was fantastic, we were so lucky to have him as our tour guide today to Sintra & Cascais! He is incredibly knowledgeable and shares his love of Portugal. A truly wonderful day/experience… from the moment he picked us up to drop off and everything in between. Great trip and delicious wine tasting topped it off!

Can’t commend our driver and guide, Paula, enough. What an enjoyable and memorable day. The drive around Cascais and Sintra was a super fun family activity. Paula is super professional, respectful, friendly, and a safe driver, with a good sense of humor and perfect English. All in all I highly recommend this company.

PAULA is a jewel. We had a special pilgrimage to make (Boca de Inferno), and we won the lottery with her as our tour guide. From the moment we met her, she welcomed us, she laughed with us; we felt in the company of a friend. Each time she learned something new about us, she seemed to find a way to enhance the experience with the information. I’m blown away by her 4x4 skills! We covered a lot of gorgeous, diverse terrain. Lunch with a stunning view at RESTAURANTE NORTADA was world class. Can’t wait to return there. CARLOS, another gem, blew us away with his brilliant presentation of vintage port wines. This is how one should explore Portugal. Highly recommend! The surprise hit was the tile factory. We got to see how tiles were made (by hand and not an automated machine). We also got to make your own and have them shipped to our home. Our tour guide Maria Madalena was amazing. She is very passionate about her job and also helped with taking photos and videos of memorable moments.Big hugs Stefan Eklund.

We had a fantastic time on the private land rover tour to Sintra and Cascias. We saw soo many amazingly beautiful sites and learned a ton from our fantastic guide, Mary Magdalena. Her knowledge and humor made the day great. Also, her English was perfect since our Portuguese ability is nonexistent. We couldn't believe how fast 8 hrs flew by. Highly recommend.

The experience was totally awesome. This was a complete joy for us, where we could get to the most beautiful places on and off the regular path. Paula our guide was the best: powerful, positive, can do attitude, very knowledgeable, but humble and tender. The best of all worlds. The Land Rover is perfectly kept, and fit for the tour! Highly appreciated this tour, one of the best we have taken.
