Preguntas frecuentes
What is the maximum group size on a group tour?
Maximum 8 passengers per vehicle. This keeps the experience closer to a private tour than a typical large bus tour - no waiting for 40 people, no fixed photo stops for the whole coach.
What is the difference between a group tour and a private tour?
Group tours have a fixed itinerary, fixed departure time (08:30–09:00) and a per-person price - you share the vehicle with other travellers up to a maximum of 8. Private tours give you the entire vehicle, a flexible itinerary and the ability to adjust timings, stops and pace on the day.
Can a solo traveller join a group tour?
Yes. Group tours are well-suited for solo travellers - you pay per person and join other guests in the same vehicle. Maximum 8 passengers per tour.
What time does the group tour depart?
Pickup is between 08:30 and 09:00 from your accommodation in central Lisbon. The exact pickup time within that window depends on your location relative to other passengers on the same day.
Are children allowed on group tours?
Yes. Children are welcome. Child seats are available on request at no extra cost - provide the child's age and weight when booking. Children count toward the maximum of 8 passengers.
What languages do the guides speak on group tours?
Group tours operate primarily in English. If all passengers speak the same language (e.g. Spanish or French), the guide will adapt. Confirm your language preference at the time of booking.
What happens if it rains on the day of the tour?
Tours operate in all weather. Sintra in mist is a well-known experience; many stops are sheltered or indoor. The Fátima sanctuary, Batalha Monastery and Óbidos castle walls have covered areas. We do not cancel for rain.
What is the cancellation policy for group tours?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.
Are group tours available year-round?
Yes, both group tours run year-round. Peak season is April-October. Winter departures (November-March) tend to have smaller groups and shorter queues at major sites. Minimum booking numbers may apply in low season - confirm when booking.
Where is the pickup point for group tours?
We pick up at your hotel or accommodation in Lisbon city centre. Pickup outside the central area may not be available for group tours - contact us to confirm your specific address.
What is included in the group tour price?
The price per person includes: shared air-conditioned vehicle (max 8 passengers), licensed driver-guide, hotel pickup and drop-off in central Lisbon, fuel, tolls, parking and mandatory insurance.
What is NOT included in the group tour price?
Entrance tickets to monuments (e.g. Pena Palace €14, Batalha Monastery €6, Fátima Sanctuary free), meals, drinks and tips are not included. We advise booking timed-entry tickets for Pena Palace in advance, especially April–October.
Which group tour is better for first-time visitors to Portugal?
Sintra–Cascais group tour if you prioritise palaces, coastline and a UNESCO town. Fátima–Batalha–Nazaré–Óbidos if you want religious heritage, a Gothic monastery, Atlantic coast and a medieval walled town. Both are full-day tours at 8 hours.
Which tour covers Sintra?
The Sintra–Cabo da Roca–Cascais–Estoril Group Tour covers Sintra, the westernmost point of continental Europe at Cabo da Roca, and the Cascais and Estoril coastline. From €69 per person.
Which tour covers Fátima?
The Fátima–Batalha–Nazaré–Óbidos Group Tour covers the Sanctuary of Fátima (site of the 1917 Marian apparitions), Batalha Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage, built 1386), Nazaré's Atlantic coast and the medieval walled town of Óbidos. From €84 per person.
How do I book a group tour?
Book via the tour page form, WhatsApp +351 965 856 169, or email yellowcabtttours@gmail.com. We confirm availability within a few hours. Booking 1–2 weeks ahead is recommended for April–October travel.
Can I book both group tours on consecutive days?
Yes, both group tours run year-round. Peak season is April–October. Winter departures (November–March) tend to have smaller groups and shorter queues at major sites. Minimum booking numbers may apply in low season - confirm when booking.
