Alentejo Wins Six Awards at the 4th Edition of the National Wine Tourism Prize

Alentejo has once again asserted itself as a leading region in Portugal’s wine tourism and gastronomy scene. The recognition of Fita Preta as the Best Wine Tourism Project in Portugal is just one of the accolades that reinforce the region’s prestige. Individual talent was also celebrated, with Luísa Rebelo, from Torre de Palma in Monforte, being named Best Professional in the sector.

In the culinary field, the spotlight also turned to Alentejo: the restaurant at Quinta do Quetzal, in Vidigueira, was awarded Best Restaurant, while Chef David Jesus, from L’AND Vineyards in Montemor-o-Novo, was named Best Chef.

The region also demonstrated its commitment to social and environmental values. The Cooperative Winery of Vidigueira, Cuba and Alvito received the award for Best Inclusive Project, and Herdade da Malhadinha Nova was recognized as the Best Sustainable Project.

These distinctions reflect the dynamism and innovative spirit of Alentejo’s wine tourism, which continues to evolve while staying true to its roots — consolidating its prominence both nationally and internationally.
