Location and History<\/strong><\/h2>

This coastal town north of Lisbon, near Estoril, lies by the Atlantic Ocean. It emerged in the 14th century and gained autonomy in 1514 with its own charter. Since then, it has flourished, becoming not only a prestigious Lisbon suburb but also a major tourist destination.<\/p>
